Esta semana passada estivemos no Madeira Shopping a acompanhar a exposição sobre "o fura bardos" para divulgar o projeto LIFE para a conservação desta ave.
Os meninos acercavam-se atraídos pelas máscaras e os
desenhos para colorir que tínhamos dispostos numa mesa. Muitos tinham vergonha
e não falavam apenas, mas outros faziam perguntas sobre esta ave de rapina.
Nos, falamos-lhes do seu habitat, a Laurissilva, e dos problemas que têm para sobreviver,
como os incêndios, ou as plantas invasoras que reduzem a quantidade de Laurissilva
disponível.
Depois eles marchavam muito contentos com a sua mascara bem colocada.

Foi uma semana cansativa, mas muito enriquecedora!
Exposition at Madeira Shopping
This past week we have been at Madeira Shopping, taking part on the Macaronesian Sparrowhawk exposition to spread the LIFE project for the conservation of this prey bird.
Children came to the colouring table and chairs, attracted for the masks and drawings of the Furabardos pet. A lot of they were shy and didn't speak, but others asked about this prey bird. We talked about the Fura-bardos habitat, the Laurissilva, and the problems that they have to survive, like the fire, the invading plants, etc.
After that, they went back with their families, happy, with the mask well put.
This week were a tired week, but I enjoyed very much!
