Durante estes últimos dois meses e meio, tive a oportunidade de voluntariar na SPEA. Tendo em conta todas as experiências que me foram proporcionadas quero dar relevância ao trabalho em equipa, pois sem o qual certas experiências não teriam sido realizadas. Assim, reconheço que a interajuda e comunicação apresentam um enorme papel para que os obstáculos sejam superados e, num futuro, aprendizagens possam ser feitas. 

Em especial, venho falar dos meus parceiros do voluntariado ESC, Mariana e Vítor. Com eles tive a oportunidade de comer churros derivados da intensa e extensa sensibilização, e de fazer novas, e sempre penteadas, amigas: Cagarras (Calonectris borealis), Almas-negras (Bulweria bulwerii) e um Roque-de-castro (Hydrobates castro).

Destaco também o trabalho abrangente na SPEA que, ao visitar sítios diferentes devido à sensibilização às comunidades costeiras e à monitorização e resgate de aves marinhas, me permitiu integrar melhor toda a comunidade envolvente.

Durante estas atividades, às visitas aos Clérigos foram, por talvez obvias razões, marcantes. Passamos desde interações com juvenis de cagarra, por quedas disfarçadas por momentos de descanso e por imitações baratas de "Dora, a exploradora".

No entanto, tudo proporcionou uma recompensante aprendizagem, e espero que num futuro possa continuar a apoiar a SPEA, e em especial as minhas novas amigas, as aves marinhas.

Over the last two and a half months I've had the opportunity to volunteer at SPEA. Taking into account all the experiences I've had I'd like to highlight the teamwork, without which certain experiences wouldn't have been possible. I recognize that mutual help and communication play a huge role in overcoming obstacles and learning lessons in the future. 

In particular, I'd like to talk about my ESC volunteering partners, Mariana and Vítor. With them I had the opportunity to eat churros from the intense and extensive awareness-raising and to make new and always combed friends: Cory's Shearwater (Calonectris borealis), Bulwer's Petrel (Bulweria bulwerii) and a Band-rumped Storm-Petrel (Hydrobates castro).

I would also highlight the wide-ranging work at SPEA which, by visiting different places to raise awareness of coastal communities and monitoring and rescuing seabirds, has allowed me to better integrate with the surrounding community.

During these activities, the visits to Clérigos were, for perhaps obvious reasons, remarkable. We went through interactions with juvenile Cory's Shearwater to falls disguised as moments of rest and cheap imitations of "Dora the Explorer". 

However, it was all a rewarding learning experience and I hope that in the future I can continue to support SPEA and especially my new friends, the seabirds.
