Primeira feira do livro de Santa Cruz

 “Depois da tempestade, vem a Bonança”. Após uma longa interrupção nos eventos abertos ao público, enfim a retomada das atividades! Essa reintegração foi marcada especialmente pela realização da primeira feira do livro de Santa Cruz, que ocorreu nos dias 20 a 25 de abril, que em conjunto celebra os 100 anos de José Saramago. Esse “abraço coletivo” foi representado no evento dessa feira, por diversas atuações artísticas, apresentações de livros e oficinas com diversos temas.

A feira foi realizada num cenário extraordinário, com o visual da promenade dos Reis Magos, local de natureza abundante, uma  proposta muito descontraída e leve para se desfrutar numa feira do Livro.

Participaram da feira diversos expositores, dentre eles a SPEA, Sociedade Portuguesa para o Estudo das Aves, que aproveitou a oportunidade para dar a conhecer seus projetos de proteção da avifauna e seus habitats e convidar novos voluntários para a nossa causa. Também tinha para venda alguns guias de aves e outros itens relacionados, de modo a angariar recursos para a realização dos projetos em curso, como também sugerir aos visitantes que pudessem contribuir gratuitamente a consignação do seu IRS, ou que pudessem dar um donativo e até tornarem-se sócios da SPEA.

O ilustre convidado do evento, o escritor Gonçalo Tavares, participou na realização do primeiro evento da feira, com uma oficina sobre escrita e imaginação. Houve também diversas apresentações artísticas, realizadas por diversos alunos da região, fogo de artifício, intervenções dos escoteiros, teatro itinerante... Em suma, diversão e conhecimentos estiveram sempre presentes aos que visitaram a feira do livro, desde moradores, turistas, alunos e simpatizantes. O saldo do evento foi positivo e já se espera a próxima edição, fica os parabéns ao idealizador do evento e a todos que se uniram para a realização do mesmo.

The fair was held in an extraordinary setting, with the visual of the Reis Magos promenade, a place of abundant nature, a very relaxed and light proposal to enjoy a book fair.

Several exhibitors took part in the fair, among them SPEA, the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds, which took the opportunity to make known its projects for the protection of avifauna and its habitats and to invite new volunteers for our cause. It also had for sale some bird guides and other related items, in order to raise funds for"After the storm comes the bonanza. After a long interruption in events open to the public, finally the resumption of activities! This reintegration was particularly marked by the holding of the first Santa Cruz book fair, which took place from 20 to 25 April, which jointly celebrated the 100th anniversary of José Saramago. This "collective embrace" was represented at the event of this fair by various artistic performances, book presentations and workshops with different themes.

The event's illustrious guest, writer Gonçalo Tavares, took part in the first event of the fair, with a workshop on writing and imagination. There were also various artistic presentations, performed by several students from the region, fireworks, interventions by the scouts, travelling theatre... In short, fun and knowledge were always present for those who visited the book fair, from residents, tourists, students and sympathisers. The balance of the event was positive and the next edition is already expected. Congratulations to the creator of the event and to all those who came together to make it happen.
