“Rumo a um novo porto”
Nesta segunda semana tive a
oportunidade de visitar a ilha vizinha, Porto Santo. Esta ilha situa-se a 40
milhas da ilha da Madeira e a viagem fizemos no “Lobo marinho” o barco que liga
diariamente as duas ilhas.
Nesta viagem aproveitámos para fazer
censos de aves marinhas, mas a nossa surpresa foi encontrarmos um grupo de
golfinhos que, por uns momentos, acompanharam-nos na viagem! Foi uma sensação
incrível perceber a grande e surpreendente “vida” que há nos oceanos, relembrando-nos
que é também um meio que também temos de preservar.
“Course to new port”
In the second week I had the opportunity to
visit the neighboring island of Porto Santo. This island is located 40 miles from
Madeira and we made this journey in "Lobo
Marinho" the boat that daily connects the two islands.
On this trip we performed seabirds’ census, but our surprise was when we met with a group of dolphins that, for a few moments, accompanied us on the trip! It was an amazing feeling to realize the great and surprising "life" that there is in the oceans, and we have to remember that it is an environmental that we also need to preserve.
