O estágio chegou ao fim...

Ao fim de 5 meses encontro-me na reta final do estágio na SPEA. O tempo passou a voar, ainda lembro-me do primeiro dia em que cá cheguei, muito ansiosa e cheia de receios, mesmo assim, com vontade de ter novas experiências, em contexto real de trabalho, sobretudo conhecer o mundo extraordinário das aves e trabalhar para a sua proteção e dos seus habitats.

Devo dizer que adorei estagiar na SPEA, de facto uma das melhores experiências que tive na minha vida! Esta será a última vez que escrevo neste blog, assim sendo faço aqui um pequeno balanço da minha experiência como estagiária.

Aprendi muita coisa a nível pessoal e profissional, ajudou-me a abrir novas portas para outros caminhos, e ganhar outra visão sobre as situações. Tive a oportunidade de conhecer a SPEA, saber mais sobre as aves e a conservação da natureza na Macaronésia, os projetos da associação, entre outras aprendizagens. Pessoalmente, ajudou-me a ganhar mais confiança em mim, melhorar o comportamento, a comunicação e nas relações profissionais.

No princípio foi difícil adaptar-me ao ambiente e integrar-me na equipa, no entanto, acabei por conseguir com tempo e esforço e a ajuda dos colegas da equipa.

Gostei de todas as tarefas que exerci, desde os trabalhos na área da comunicação, elaborar publicações para as redes sociais e no blog de forma a promover a SPEA na Madeira; colaborar na prospeção de ninhos nos locais potenciais de cagarra; a criação de um roteiro de observação de aves; censos noturnos…

Além disso, as que mais me marcaram foram trabalhar no campo no âmbito dos projetos; a educação ambiental; promover a SPEA na feira do livro e no evento do lançamento do projeto LIFE Natura@night, os censos de aves e participar no processo de anilhagem de dois patagarros e uma cagarra.

A Madeira é um dos lugares mais bonitos do mundo, onde podemos desfrutar da natureza em qualquer ponto da ilha!

Por outro lado, criei uma boa relação com todos os colegas, o que tornou a experiência mais divertida.

Cada um dos elementos da equipa carrega consigo uma paixão interminável pela natureza. A força, vontade e entusiasmo da equipa da SPEA é muito forte, faz-se ver nos seus olhos e nas suas atitudes o quão desejam evoluir, alcançar os objetivos, procurar soluções e adaptar-se a qualquer situação. Fazem-no pelo bem da natureza e o futuro da humanidade, não por reconhecimento público.

Agradeço à SPEA e aos membros Cátia, Elisa, Tiago Dias e Ana, por tudo o que me ensinaram, por ter crescido ao vosso lado e me terem acolhido na mesma casa com afeto.

After 5 months I am in the final stage of my internship at SPEA. Time has flown by, I still remember the first day I arrived here, very anxious and full of fears, even so, eager to have new experiences, in a real work context, especially getting to know the extraordinary world of birds and working for their protection and habitats.

I must say I loved my internship at SPEA, in fact one of the best experiences I had in my life! This will be the last time I write in this blog, so here I make a small analysis of my experience as an intern.

1st day at SPEA (Author: Cristiane Silva)

I learned a lot of things at personal and professional level, it helped me to open new doors to other paths, and gain another vision about situations. I had the opportunity to get to know SPEA, to learn more about birds and nature conservation in Macaronesia, and the association's projects, among other things. Personally it helped me to gain more confidence in myself, to improve my behaviour, communication and professional relationships.

In the beginning it was difficult to adapt to the environment and integrate myself in the team. However, with time and effort and the help of my colleagues I managed.

I enjoyed all the tasks I carried out, from the work in the communication area, elaborating publications for the social networks and in the blog in order to promote SPEA in Madeira; collaborating in the prospection of nests in potential shearwater locations; the creation of a birdwatching guide; night censuses...

In addition, the ones that stood out the most to me were working in the field as part of the projects; environmental education; promoting SPEA at the book fair and at the launch event of the LIFE Natura@night project, the bird censuses and participating in the ringing process of two shearwaters and one shearwater.

Madeira is one of the most beautiful places in the world, where we can enjoy nature anywhere on the island!

On the other hand, I created a good relationship with all the colleagues, which made the experience more fun.

Each member of the team carries with them an endless passion for nature. The strength, will and enthusiasm of the SPEA team is very strong, you can see in their eyes and in their attitudes how much they want to evolve, achieve their objectives, seek solutions and adapt to any situation. They do it for the good of nature and the future of humanity, not for public recognition.

I thank SPEA and the members Cátia, Elisa, Tiago Dias and Ana, for everything you have taught me, for having grown up by your side and for having welcomed me in the same house with affection.
