A ilha da Madeira tem tido ao longo dos últimos 5 anos, um após incêndios em várias áreas do território, no entanto, durante a semana de 08 de agosto deste mês, ocorreu um dos maiores incêndios da história dos Madereinses, que ele teve seu desenvolvimento a um clima de massas de ar quente de alta velocidade.
Depois de chegar ao University Residence onde atualmente ficado, rapidamente começou a sentir a atmosfera de preocupação e de emergência gerada pelos primeiros focos de incêndio no interior da ilha (primeira ocorreu em São Roque). carros de bombeiros foram ouvidas a partir da cozinha e olhando para o oeste podia ver uma enorme nuvem de preto e laranja que se movia em direção ao centro do Funchal. Embora essa perspectiva própria, que já relatei é mais pessoal do que geral, em que entidades relevantes conseguiu abordar a catástrofe em um bom caminho, muitas medidas de emergência trabalhou para o conceito de "auto-gestão" e cultura pessoal sobre como se comportar para estes situações, o que até certo ponto é positivo que os inquilinos da ilha entender os procedimentos de emergência, mas a minha pergunta era: se um dos potenciais da ilha gira em torno do turismo e o abrigo de outras pessoas de diferentes culturas, como eu pode e deve se comportar em um contexto no qual eu tenho pouco conhecimento sobre procedimentos preventivos antes de um desastre? Devo confiar em minhas habilidades e noções de segurança e me proteger pessoalmente?
